Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the ThreadPort Chrome extension and related services (the “Service”) provided by Tatsuya Takeuchi (the “Operator”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Service Description

The Service allows users to select messages from ChatGPT conversations and export them in Word (.docx) or Markdown (.md) format. Available features vary by subscription plan.

ThreadPort is an independent third-party service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI.

3. Registration and Account Security

  1. You must sign in or register using the method specified by the Operator.
  2. You must keep your registration information accurate and up to date.
  3. You are responsible for safeguarding your authentication credentials and for activity under your account.

4. Fees and Payment

  1. Prices for paid plans are displayed on the official ThreadPort website.
  2. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed in U.S. dollars through Stripe.
  3. Your card issuer may apply currency conversion rates, taxes, or fees.
  4. Paid features are generally available immediately after payment, although subscription status may take a few minutes to update.

5. Subscription, Renewal, and Cancellation

  1. Paid plans renew automatically each month until canceled.
  2. You may cancel at any time from your account page.
  3. After cancellation, paid features remain available until the end of the current paid billing period.
  4. No prorated refunds are provided for a canceled subscription.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Violate any applicable law or public policy
  • Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person
  • Attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the Service, or interfere with its operation
  • Manipulate usage limits or subscription status through unauthorized means
  • Engage in conduct the Operator reasonably determines to be abusive, fraudulent, or harmful

7. Your Responsibilities

  1. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights or permissions necessary to export any conversation, image, or other content.
  2. You are responsible for storing, managing, sharing, and using exported files.

8. Intellectual Property

The software, design, text, and other materials that make up the Service belong to the Operator or their respective rights holders. Ownership of conversation content you enter or select does not transfer to the Operator.

9. Changes and Availability

The Operator may modify or temporarily suspend all or part of the Service for maintenance, outages, security needs, changes to third-party services, or other reasonable operational reasons. Material changes will be announced on the official website when reasonably possible.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  1. The Service may be temporarily affected by interface or specification changes to third-party services such as ChatGPT or Chrome.
  2. Exported formatting and images may not perfectly reproduce the original display and are converted on a best-effort basis.
  3. The Service is provided without a guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
  4. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Operator's total liability arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Suspension

The Operator may suspend all or part of your access without prior notice if you violate these Terms, payment cannot be confirmed, or fraudulent or unauthorized use is reasonably suspected.

12. Changes to These Terms

The Operator may update these Terms to reflect changes in law or the Service. Material changes will be announced on the official website. Updated Terms take effect when posted or on another stated effective date.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes relating to the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Operator's location as the court of first instance.
